Finback Whale
Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick, Canada. This is a highly cropped picture (my lens wasn't long enough) of a finback whale. According to Wikipedia: Finback whales, a.k.a. fin whales, are the second largest whales and the second largest living animals after the Blue Whale. They grow to 27 meters (88 feet) long. Unfortunately, due to their weight, they hardly, if ever, raise their tails above the water on their terminal dives unlike the Sperm whales. Sperm whale tails would have made the best pictures.
