Facade

I like the contrast of the kids' wall painting and the cement/gravel factory at the background. The factory evokes a sense of seriousness, coldness, and dullness. On the other hand, the painting evokes cheerfulness, playfulness, color, and warmth. Posted by Picasa

UPDATED: The Title used to be Night and Day. I've now changed it to a more appropriate title, Facade, as suggested by my good friend, Ponch. According to him: "you think it's happy but behind the child-likeness exterior, it's hiding a gloomy (cement-like) interior..."

Christmas Coffee

It's that time of the year once again... no, not Christmas.... final exams! With late nighters, there is nothing better than a cup of Tim Horton's coffee. Posted by Picasa

Tim's Chocolate Raspberry Donut

New Tim Horton's Chocolate Raspberry donut. I haven't tried it yet though. I just got a cup of French Vanilla. I'd like to try it in the future. Posted by Picasa

Toronto's Green Bin: For biodegradables. Posted by Picasa

During the Christmas season, Toronto celebrates the Cavalcade of Lights festival. Aside from major streets and neighbordhoods fully lighted with christmas lights and decorations, every weekend there's an event happening in City Hall. Last Saturday, I went there with Debie (formerly from UP EEE (now in UBC EE) who's taking her coop in Toronto). The entire Nathan Phillips Square (city hall plaza) was filled with people.

Things for people to do:
1. Ice-Skating.
2. Watch the band (last Saturday was Jacksoul... a really good jazz-R&B group)

3. Watch the spectacular fireworks display
4. Watch the Immersion, a light project. (The Old City Hall was immersed in projected light throughout the night. However, Immersion itself is a 15 minute projection show amidst loud classical music)

5. Enjoy the christmas decorations.
6. Eat. There were several booths scattered across the Square.
7. Enjoy the night and Relax.
